Override DNS v4.3.1-0-g072df7d

Requirements: 4.3 and up

Overview: It's a DNS changer which works in Android 4.4 KitKat (finally!) and possibly on Android 5.0 Lollipop.

First of all some considerations before going on:

•  alpha stage of support for Lollipop has been recently introduced!

•  the app needs a rooted device

•  if you find something which seems broken, please contact us ([email protected]) before posting a negative feedback. We can fix things!

•  if you are in Indonesia, the app could not work for mobile connections (Wi-Fi and the carrier 3 Hutchinson Indonesia seems Ok). I'm trying to bypass the DNS hijacking the carriers perform. You could try the app and, within 15 minutes, asks for a reimbursement directly in the Play Store. Send me an e-mail to [email protected] to be notified when I find a solution.

Then, here's a brief description of the app: it's a DNS changer for mobile networks which works in Android 4.4 KitKat (finally!) and possibly on Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The app was born to change DNS on KitKat, but from version 3.0.0 it has been ported to Android 5.0 Lollipop (see below) and from version 1.3.0 it has been backported to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean MR2.

What does it mean "alpha stage" for Lollipop?

Android Lollipop sources has been released on the 4th of November. SuperSU and root for many Nexus devices it's not so older, so I had a small amount of time to study what's changed. I think I found the solution for Lollipop, too, but I need some feedback from my beta testers before I can call it 100% functional. If you are not patient, give it a try and if it fails, ask for a refund directly on the Play Store, but please write me an e-mail, we could find a solution together.

With this software you can

•  Bypass internet censorship when based upon DNS blocking.

•  Overcome an Android limitation: there's no system setting to change mobile DNS.

•  Speed up internet connection. You can find many articles on the web which show various benchmarks of Domain Name Servers performances and how they affect your navigation (your mileage may vary).

•  Keep in sync mobile and Wi-Fi DNS in fact from v1.2.0 the app can handle Wi-Fi connections, too.

Features

•  Automatic DNS change when a mobile connection gets activated (can be disabled).

•  Automatic DNS change when a Wi-Fi connection gets activated (can be disabled).

•  Wi-Fi filter based on SSID, so you can automatically apply DNS only to

certain connections (can be disabled).

•  Custom DNS values.

•  Almost zero memory and CPU usage, because it's not a service.

•  Notifications let you know that the app is working (can be disabled).

•  Automatic DNS flush without need to restart the device.

•  DashClock integration, to keep an eye on the DNS in use.

•  It comes prepacked with the most common DNS services.

•  Simple and clean interface, Holo styled.

•  Ad free.

•  Works on Lollipop, KitKat and Jelly Bean.

More to come (in the next versions)

•  change DNS for Ethernet connections, too.

Known issues

•  does not fully support multiple active connections (i.e. tethering or Wi-Fi AP): you have to exclude one network device from the advanced settings

•  horizontal layout is still awful.

Furthermore, there are some devices which have consistently poor performance with no known remedies. On these devices we restrict installation of Strava, for example Nexus One and HTC Hero. Knots 3D v4.3.1
      Requirements: Android 2.2+
Overview: ★ Tie, untie and rotate 80 knots with your finger in 3D! ★

Knots 3D, our top-rated 3D knot app, will give you a whole new perspective on knots! Grab a piece of rope and have fun!
#1 Reference App in 75 Countries*

      DESCRIPTION
      -----------
Have you ever wondered what a knot looks like rotated 40° or maybe 90°? Or maybe you want to see what a Trilene knot or Constrictor knot looks like from the back? Use your finger to spin the knot and see how it looks from any angle in 3D!
Choose from 80 different knots and see how they're tied in incredible detail. Watch the knot draw itself and pause the animation to see where the virtual rope goes in and out and around. (Something about a rabbit and a hole and a tree right? ) Zoom in on the knot to get a closer look or flip it around for another perspective. Can your old school knot app do that?!
      Product Features and Functions
      - Learn to tie 80 unique knots
      - Browse knots by category and type
      - Watch knots tie themselves and pause or adjust the speed of the animation at any time
      - Rotate knots 360 degrees to view them from any angle
      - Zoom in on a knot to see it in greater detail
      - Interact with the knot on screen via mult-touch gestures such as pinch-to-zoom and swipe to tie/untie.
Knots 3D is moveable to SD memory, requires no special permissions and requires no additional content downloads after install. Additionally, Knots 3D receives frequent updates with aditional knots and/or features!
Each 3D knot has detailed information including tying pointers, strength and reliability, structural info, and Ashley reference numbers (ABoK) and occasionally the history behind the knot.
The knots are arranged by both Category (Boating, Climbing, Fishing, Scouting, etc) and Type (Bend, Loop, Stopper, etc). If you find a knot you like or want to come back to later, add it to your Favorites list for quick reference.

      KNOT LIST
      ------------------
Knots 3D includes 80 Knots with common ones such as the Bowline and Sheet Bend along with more complicated knots such as the Monkey’s Fist and Jury Mast Knot. The entire list of knots can be found here:

      KNOTS 3D REVIEWS
      ----------------------
      Very Useful - ★★★★★
Great guide for knot how to's. 3D ability puts it to the top compared to others. Nice job dev's.
      Nicely Done - ★★★★★
This app is really nicely done. I actually don't have much need to learn or use knots, but I am so impressed with the presentation in this app that it motivates me to want to learn them, just so I can use it. Good job!
      Great App - ★★★★★
I really like this app, I have 4 knot apps, and I use this one the most. As a firefighter rope skills is a must and this app helps keep me knot prepared. The zoom and step through the knot using a finger gestures is real handy. The author updates this app with new knots often. I recommend this app.
